Hello! My name is Kirk Woelffer. I am a podiatrist, specializing in foot and ankle surgery, in Raleigh, North Carolina. I love my job, and I want to help you love your feet and ankles! Seriously, I’ve been practicing for over 20 years, and I enjoy trying to solve the problems that come to me from my patients - patients like YOU! Everyone deserves a plan for a healthy, active life. I grew up in the suburbs outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I went to a small college in Northfield, Minnesota called St. Olaf College. My medical training started at Des Moines University in Iowa. After that, I did my surgical training in St. Louis, Missouri at Deaconess Hospital. I was lucky to receive extra training as an American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons European Fellow, learning from doctors in Germany and Austria. Following my training, I took a job with Dr. Robert Hatcher in Raleigh, North Carolina at Raleigh Foot and Ankle Center. That practice is now part of US Foot and Ankle Specialists, and I am still here today! I am fortunate to have a loving wife, Christina, and three fantastic children. I really am living the dream!

I love living in North Carolina. I love helping the people of The Triangle - and beyond! I’ve been lucky enough to be the Team Podiatrist for the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team, the North Carolina NCFC/Courage soccer teams, and the Carolina Ballet here in Raleigh. I have worked as a Panel Physician at the diabetic wound center at Duke University Hospital. I am one of the volunteer physicians at the Open Door Clinic at Urban Ministries and at Alliance Medical Clinic, both in downtown Raleigh. I am active in different medical groups throughout North Carolina, serving as the President of the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society, and the Seminar Chair for the scientific lecture program. I am board-certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

In summary, I love my job, and I want to help you love your feet!!! Myself, and the other doctors in our practice are very interested in continuing to care for the people of our community for years to come. We care for all members of all families, from little ones to seniors, and everything in between!
